چکیده
It is well documented that patients with renal failure suffer from some degree of cardiovascular illnesses.(1) In chronic uremia, cardiovascular disease manifests as concentric left ventricular hypertrophy, left ventricular dilatation, systolic dysfunction, or diastolic dysfunction.(2) These conditions create a predisposition for developing heart failure, arrhythmias, and sudden death,(3) which can be prevented with renal transplantation.(4,5) We report 2 patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and severe systolic dysfunction with multivalvular dysfunction whose cardiac indexes improved considerably after kidney transplantation.

Improved cardiac function after renal transplantation.
There are few reports of the outcome of renal transplantation in patients with severe left ventricular (LV) impairment. We describe three men with chronic disabling heart failure associated with LV dysfunction in whom a remarkable improvement in cardiac function followed renal transplantation. Transplantation may offer the prospect of successful rehabilitation in these circumstances. Undue pess...

Extended abstract Echocardiographic Evaluation of Left Ventricular Function and Geometry in Pediatric Patients with Kidney Transplantation Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is an important, leading cause of mortality and morbidity in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) as well as in renal transplant recipients. Cardiovascular complications become more important in children because of the i...

soon after cardiac transplantation, but the recipient patients seldom show a postoperative precordial murmur attributable to valve dysfunction. This is not surprising, because mild forms of valvular regurgitation detected by Doppler are often clinically inaudiblee5 Overt signs of tricuspid regurgitation and right ventricular failure were observed in 2 patients with residual postoperative pulmon...
متن کاملHEARING LOSS IN CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE AND CHANGES WITH KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION
Loss of hearing is a known problem in patients with chronic renal failure, occurring in 40-XO% of cases and being most often of the high frequency sensorineural type. We performed a study on 50 patients with this disease, including 20 who had undergone a successful kidney transplantation. Our results show an 80% incidence of hearing loss in these patients and a chance of improvement in at l...
متن کاملCoronary Angiography Before and After Renal Transplantation
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in both dialysis dependent patients and those either waiting for or following up after renal transplantation. Concerns about the risk of contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) associated with coronary angiography in patients with stage 4 or 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD) have sometimes resulted in coronary angiograp...
